Decided to fix my noisy valvetrain issue. This also caused the engine to idle rough and run rich.




I dug out this U20 with low mileage that I scored years ago, polished it up and its good to go.






Here's a close up of what happened. Both lobes were for intake valves





Here's what happened to the rockers compared to a good rocker



It now runs puurrrrfect. No more engine shake at idle and the cab doesn't vibrate. Runs quieter unless I stomp on it.

Holy cow smooth, that's alittle wear and tear. I bet she does run better.

WOW!   Were the oil ports on those lobes clogged?  I haven't seen them wear quite that bad.  Either improper lub or adjusted too tight.  Nice work!   I love that cable bracket.  Ah the luxury of laser cutting, I can dream on.

What are the specs of the u20 cam compared to the, oh.. let's say u67 stock cam?

Braden, I thought the same but only those 2 were affected. The others are fine so I don't know.
Yeah, that laserman is awesome with the CAD machine too!!
